Bridgeville, a very small town in California has been listed on Ebay 3 times.
The town, founded in 1865, and it's been three owners in the last 130 years.
In 2002, it was put up for auction on Ebay for the first time, In 2002, selling for $ 1.77 m., but the winner backed backed out of the deal. Mr. Krall bought the town in 2004 for $ 700, 000.
"You get 83 acres (34 hectares), you get redwoods, you get a river, you get eight houses, you get a post office. That sounds like a bargain for $1.75m," Mr Bruce Krall 9 owner in 2006 ) told the BBC.
On August 3 2006, Los Angeles-based entertainment manager and college student Daniel Thomas La Paille, 25, purchased the town on August 3, 2006 from Krall. La Paille paid $1.25 million, the money coming from his own entertainment management work as well as from his mother and grandmother.
On June 29 2007, the town was listed on Ebay again for sale, after La Paille committed suicide, according to
the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office. Bridgeville was on the market with a $1.3 million price tag for at least several months. This was the third time that Bridgeville had been listed for sale within five years.
